Here is a little recap of our December festivities. From tree selection to New Years, it was fun and fast and we are almost to February now! Time flies that is for sure.
We cut our tree at Loch Lolly Land again this year. Great trees and Santa is there with the reindeer, a definite plus.
We had Jingle, our Elf on the Shelf watching the kids this year to report back to Santa. He turned out to be a little lazy and was not heading back to the North Pole EVERY night, but made it back a few times to give Santa an update on the kids’ behavior. The first night he came we found him here:
And a few other times:
Cousins came to town from Utah which the kids always love…
The kids reenacted the nativity on Christmas Eve, a Thompson Family tradition…
The kids got to open their first presents on Christmas Eve and….surprise!!! Pajamas! (again).
Treats for Santa…not so many cookies, but other delectable delights!
Christmas morning….Heath not happy because I think he peeked and thought he wasn’t getting his Batman Tower that he asked Santa for. He was so wrong!
And the remnants of the treats…
We went to church, then over the river and through the woods to Salem to my Mom’s:

My kids in a weird mask my mom had:
And THAT was Christmas. We left a few days later for Sunriver where we stayed in a cool cabin my dad rented for us. That will have to be another post if I get around to it!
