We flew to Arizona for a few days to visit our friends, the Longs, for Spring Break. On the way to Cottonwood from the Phoenix airport, there is a particular area, along a latitude on the map, where a particular species of cacti grow. They are called saguaro cacti and damaging one is nearly punishable by death! Jana nearly damaged us all as she pulled over on the freeway for me to capture this photo of one.
Jana, Tane, and Cassi were in the process of moving into their new house when we arrived. It is beautiful, here are a few shots...
the fabulous kitchen...
the view from their yet unfinished front yard... (with Andy showing off the veggie stix)
And this is Heath's new expression, sort of like "UH-OH". He does is while he breathes in and out like Darth Vader. It is quite cute (like most things he does!...Except for when he feels the need to poop on both the to and from trips on the airplane...not so cute...especially when the from trip is during take-off and ends in a blow-out and we have to exit the bathroom with only a diaper, shirt, and one sock and proceed to spend the next 2 1/2 hours on the airplane like that...)
but who can be mad at a face like this??
Kyle loved the unfinished yard and dug and stacked rocks...
We spent some fun time at the pool...

Cassi had "hair tinsel" when we got there, and Halle wanted some too. They tied the colored tinsel into the hair...quite spiffy. We ordered some to do at home.
Jana has opened a new practice since we were there last, also quite spiffy!

We made a few trips to Sedona. Jana and I had a spa day (a.m.a.z.i.n.g) at Enchantment. Massage, lunch by the pool, facial.....aaahhhhh...Here was the scenery on the trip there...

We also went to Sedona to eat at our favorite restaurant, Cucina Rustica...(adults only)...another aaahhhhh....
And we went there for breakfast and shopping another day. Sedona claims the only non-golden arches...
Funky grass shoots of Arizona...
And last but not least, an adorable pic of Praline giving a delighted Heath a kiss...!!

CUTE PICS!!! How on earth do you get them to be that HUGE? That is what I would like to know.
Awesome pictures as usual! Wow! I am still reeling over that amazing kitchen. Will we ever have one like that? ahh the life. We were all wondering how Halle had her hair like that while sitting behind you at church on Sunday.
