So our spring break started off a little rocky. Picture getting up and getting 3 kids up to catch a flight at 6:40. Waaaayyyy early. We didn’t leave at the time we had intended and actually thought the flight was at 6:50, minor it would seem, but when you are as late as we were, every minute counts! Andy drove a little fast, we parked, the kids cooperated to get into the airport. When we went to the kiosk to check in, our flight was not an option! They told us that there is a 40 minute cut off and it was 35 minutes prior to our flight leaving and they could not let us on. You should have seen the looks on our kids’ faces. Pitiful is an understatement. Heath sat right down on the floor and wailed, “I want to go to Arizona!!!!!” It was how we all felt. We went home in plenty of time to get Kyle to school (Halle preferred to stay home) and attempt a plan B. It took some doing, but we found another flight out of Seattle routed through Fresno for the next day. We drove up to Seattle that night, stayed at a hotel and flew out the next morning. It was a long couple of days with a few complications, but we finally made it to Arizona. A painful way to learn a useful lesson. Leave for the airport EARLY!!! Not sure anyone else needs that lesson, but apparently we did! So, here are a few pics from our trip. I didn’t go crazy with the camera, except for a photo shoot of the Longs who we went to visit!
In Phoenix, we stayed at the Pointe Hilton and had some poolside fun.

One morning we hiked up to the top of a hill nearly for some exercise and a cool view. It was fun….all except for the part where we were walking on the highway to find the entrance!
Kyle thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. All you can eat bacon!! What can be better than that?? (How did this kid come from a vegetarian mom? )
What would a trip be without a little mini golf (Tane showing off his hole-in-one) and some frozen yogurt??
It was fun Longs! a bit too short, but fun. We hope you guys make the trip up here soon!
