Snow day in Portland!

OK, so around here we get a little excited about a minimal amount of snow.  It couldn’t have anything to do with the hype the meteorologists create for the week leading up to the event that doesn’t quite measure up to what they predicted.  We wore out pajamas inside out and backwards and my kids put spoons under their pillows and put white crayons on their windowsills.  These sure-fire snow day methods seem to have worked because sure enough, school was cancelled and we all stayed home to play in the snow.  We all could have used about another foot of snow to enjoy, but hey, we will take what we can get around here!
