First day of School and Kyle turns 7!! (and loses a tooth)

Here are some overdue pictures. Halle started 4th grade this year and Kyle started 1st. They started at a new school due to boundary changes. It will be a K-8 eventually. They were nervous but excited. I can't get enough of Kyle's gap-tooth smile. My kids never have gaps for long enough....the permanent tooth is always right behind. More pics of tooth loss in a moment...Walking down the hill after getting off the bus (on a too busy street which we are still trying to get changed to the safety of the bottom of our circular neighborhood....)Kyle had his 7th birthday a little early this year so he could have it at the Lego store before the craziness of school and soccer practice started. 10 friends came and fun was had by all! They built lego micro racers and raced them. Then they ate Krispy Kreme donuts, Cheetos, and BBQ chips, (with some grapes for
nutrition) in the mall seating area. Kyle's pile of KK donuts...

This picture was taken the day before he lost his tooth. It was starting to look very straggley. If you look into his eyes you will see a great example of why not to wear a reddish shirt while shooting pictures.
Here I am close up, causing the catchlights in his eyes to be red....kind of devilish...and fitting!
After he lost his tooth....The first picture is normal.... But pretty soon Kyle's true self shines through....

What a nut! But we love him and he keeps us entertained. Happy 7th Birthday Kyle!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Kyle! Your Lego party looked amazing especially the cake! What a great quick fix for a cake! Zach wished he lived closer so he could have gone. Maybe next year! K-8 is the best I think. So cute walking home together.
